Vertical turbine pumps are the only design configuration approved by the National Fire Protection Association for below-grade tanks, ponds, open channels, and wet pits. Johnston Pump’s vertical models provide long-lasting performance in below-grade tanks, pods, and open channels, even when sitting idle for months. Our JT model can support up to 930 psi, can be engineered with below-ground discharge heads, and requires no priming.
Low-Maintenance for All Industrial Environments

Offshore

Johnston Pump’s industrial-use models, including the JT and JM, are configured based on the application. For harsh, offshore environments, our vertical pumps can be made from duplex or super duplex for increased durability and won’t lose suction from rising water levels or moving platforms.

The JT Vertical Turbine Pump provides consistent performance, requires minimal maintenance, and is engineered for use in deep wells and reservoirs. It can be configured with multistage construction and below-ground discharge heads, and constructed from 316 stainless steel, duplex, super duplex, and other corrosion-resistant materials. The JT supports flows up to 270,000 gpm, pressures up to 930 psi, and temperatures up to 122°F.
